    Janchi Gooksoo

I’m not exactly sure what this gooksoo is called – maybe jan chi gooksoo or maybe jang gooksoo.  It’s a super easy, fast dish that I grew up eating.

    Ingredients:

    Mak gooksoo
    Dried Anchovies
    1/2 cup soy sauce
    2 tb sesame oil
    2 tb minced garlic
    1 green onion, chopped
    1 jalapeno, chopped
    1 tb red pepper flakes

    Directions:

Add a couple of anchovies to water and bring to a boil for the soup base.  Bring another pot of water to boil and add the gooksoo.  Cook gooksoo about 5-7 minutes until done.  Meanwhile prepare the soy sauce mixture.   Add all the ingredients and mix together.  Rinse gooksoo in cold water when it’s done.  Throw away the anchovies and skim the surface of the soup base.  Place noodles in a large bowl and pour in soup base.  Add soy sauce mixture to taste.

  • ooooo another one of my favorites. so clean so refreshing. i like to add just a small touch of vinegar to the sauce, but then again, i like bitter salty things more than the average person. im probably the only person that likes to eats sea salt, by itself.

  • My mother DOES NOT COOK. So the only korean food I grew up eating was my grandmother’s and various restaurants in garden grove. Since my grandmother doesn’t really have recipes per say (she’s an eyeballer, taste-as-you-go kinda lady) and the restaurants aren’t in the business of giving away their secrets, I am so grateful to you and this site. A MILLION THANKS.

(I’ve tried using http://www.missyusa.com but unfortunately almost everything is in Korean, if you know how to read, perhaps you should take a gander, the pictures look fantastic!)

    Thanks again!

  • Hi, listen, I’m pretty new on this blogosphere and Internet thing, so I don’t know if there’s a sort of “subscription” method that I can use in order to receive notifications of your new entries…in Viagra Online? Thing is I enjoy reading your blog a lot and I’d like to be up to date with your posts!

  • wow the recipe looks amazing I haven’t tasted it yet but I would like to try this as soon as possible , but first I have to get a Viagra no prescription for my father..

  • Just wanted to thank you, not just because the nice post, but pretty much more because my grandfather is nearly recovering from his surgery and he has almost nothing to do but staying on bed all day, his best source of entertainment has been this blog and viagra, I feel this is something good for him and his recovery.
