An LA Times reporter actually contacted me through this blog to ask me about Pinkberry a couple of months ago, so I told her about pahtbingsoo and Ice Berry in Korea.  I don’t think Pinkberry will be as good, but I must give it a try!

  • i tried it last weekend and didn’t really like it. I think i might be the only person in LA who will not go back..

  • i haven’t been there yet. my friends rave of the LA one.

  • 3rd/La Cienaga in LA just opened up a few months ago. I should try it….

  • Its good stuff. I didn’t think it would live up to the hype.

  • ^ HAHAHA BEB UNNI`..

    im hungry T_T` looks good…. i should go dere n try ^^V

  • its not that great…but i recommend the plain > green tea. u can ask them for a taste before ordering

  • the green tea flavor tastes weird, but the plain/original one is heavenly.  it’s a perfect dessert after a yummy meal @ my favorite k restaurant, Kunjip!!!

  • red mango is goooooooo, it’s frozen yogurt.  i had it in korea this past trip.

  • i lived thru the pinkberry frenzy and its finally starting to die down. it’s too hyped up.

  • i think pink berry is almost the equivalent of red mango. :P i haven’t tried it yet though.

  • I just had my fill this afternoon (in LA).  I can die in peace…

  • they seem to be opening everywhere! there’s on in ktown: 6th/berendo

  • My friend tried it and is addicted. She said it tastes like those yogloo drinks

  • 6th/berendo in LA Ktown opened up last friday. it’s nice and light…better for summer. The husband totally hated it though.

  • Tried the new one in Ktown and I loved it. I can absolutely see why it’s called Crackberry and I’m definitely heading back for more.

  • its like crack… i just came back from there..

  • seriously, what is up with pinkberry? everyone and their grandma is talking about it. I think I’ll have to try it out.

  • i dunno, im not a huge fan of yogurt. but i will give it a try.

  • i looooooove pinkberry! and it does taste like yogloo.  my fave combo is the plain w/ captain crunch, strawberries & yogurt chips as toppings.

  • i had it for the first time last week after hearing rave reviews about it for two months.  it was at the new one in k-town…i liked it because it was interesting.  it was good but i didn’t think it was ALL that.  not too sweet…almost sour – like regular dannon yogurt or something.  but it really tastes healthy, and you know how CA people love that.

  • i heard about it….but i’m scared. i don’t need another addiction

  • i FUCKINGGGGGGGGG love pinkberry. when the first one opened, i went there every day for weeks. it seriously is like crack. it’s so crazy how in a matter of the past few weeks, there are new locations popping up all over the place! i think there’s like 4 in LA now.

  • btw, fruity pebbles is a must!

  • I wonder if that’s like the frozen yogurt ice cream here.  If it is, it’s delicious~

  • i went pass it when i was in ny last time…went in but diddnt see anythin i like

  • pinkberry is delicious, the original with fresh strawberries is terrific

  • that looks soo yummy ^^

  • Ah! Vicky! <3
Oh and 3rd/LaCienage isnt Pinkberry – Its kiwi berry my bad.

  • looks good! wish there was one near me

  • pretty good stuff
it’s a little expensive, but well worth it.
    nice xanga!

  • just tried the one in ktown.
it’s good, but the lines are just too long
anyways, i love this blog, i’m going to start cooking more korean food.

  • i went to pinkberry during my last trip to LA. i liked their yogurt with the chunks of fruit in it. it was delicious!

  • that looks mighty good.

  • just went there today. they really are good, but a bit on the expensive side unfortunately.

was anyone else at the block party? it was a nice surprise. galbee for 5 bucks – can’t beat that!

  • i heard from a girl who went..wans’t good… she called it stinkberry…

  • i hated it the 1st time i had it, but now i have to eat it at least once a week. it’s addicting!!!

  • too much hype.

  • it’s not very good.

  • i liked it but i didn’t think it was anything really special. and whats up with the cereal/fruity pebbles topping? it sounds like they stole the idea from ice kiss (though i have no idea).

  • doesn’t look like it’ll last long.

  • funny how the US copy of Korea’s red mango generates so much buzz.. supposedly, a USC marshall student (korean) started pinkberry..

  • my question is… how do some of your readers know what crack is like?  hahaha

  • wow, wat a coincidence, i went to nyc for the first time this weekend and hit up pinkberry today at 32nd/broadway? i think. anyway, it was in ktown. i was expecting pat bingsoo w/ pat but there was none? and it was all yogurtey. it wasnt bad, dont get me wrong. the interior was very smooth and suave… i have pix if u want them. but the yogurt/bingsoo itself doesnt live up to the hype. i commend them for having fresh fruit and all (i had the fresh fruit bingsoo) but i wanted rice cakes (which there was none in the bingsoo, even tho they said it had it) and my sweet red beans. sry for my ramblings!

  • lol…crackberry is the nickname given to blackberry units.

  • I order the shaved ice with fresh fruit topping. OMG it was huge, not only do you get kiwi, strawberry, banana and mangos. You get icecream on top and somekind of marshmellow. It was sooo good. Pretty expensive but good for occassional snack. First time I had shaved ice, I wouldn’t call it pat bingsoo because they didn’t add the pat. :(

  • it’s a total rip off of Red Mango! one opened a few blocks from me- 6th and catalina in LA- and the traffic/parking in the area is terrible because of it. ugh!

  • what’s the spicy radish called? I saw it in the kdrama, I’m sorry I love you…

  • lyon needs a gamja tang recipie. hook it up!

  • can u do a recipe for jap seaweed salad??

  • Did u like it?  They opened up one in westwood, and it is packed everyday.  It is pretty good stuff, but way too expensive for my student life budget.

  • youre still here in the spa but thought id connect to you on xanga immediately. i want to become part of that statistic you shared re: your friends ;) thanks for coming in. it was great meeting you and ms. butterfly.

  • i reeeeally dun get wut the hype is all about.. tried it for the first time.. it just taste like reg ice cream and plain yogurt together.. i’ve been eating it like that at home forever.. and 8 bucks for a large? -_-’

i mean it’s good but nothing really special about it to pay 8 bucks for.. i can make 5 servings of “pinkberry” with 8 bucks.. shoot… aaand i make it better.. keke ^_^

  • how funny! I just went there last night (in LA we have one on 6th and Berendo)  And it was good, not DELICIOUS, but… good enough…

  • please update.

  • i just tried it for the first time… wasnt impressed at all

american people are dumb for liking it…haha

  • i don’t know about crackberry, but ice berry, red mango and yo nine are the bomb diggity!

  • Didn’t expect to like it, but I really enjoyed it. I’d be hooked if the nearest ones weren’t over 1000 miles away in either direction.

  • that looks delicious!#

  • I’ve been walking past this place w/o a second thought now I’m curious…

  • omg, this xanga is my salvation. haha

keep updating with yummy/easy to make foods.=)

  • hmm.. must try the only 2 in NYC!

  • I was just in Korea and found an IceBerry in Seoul in Myong-Dong but didn’t get a chance to try it! too cold!
