I went to LA this past weekend to visit my family, and they gave me some of this frozen jjajjangmyun to take back to New York. I had one as a midnight snack and it was so good! At $2.99 a pop it is a bit pricey, but it’s much closer to the real deal than jjapaghetti (which I also love!).
All you do is pop the soup packet into some boiling water for 3 minutes, boil the noodles for 1-2 minutes and drain, then mix the soup and noodles.
In the future I’d saute some pork and toss in there, garnish with some cucumber, and eat it with some onion doused in vinegar/dipped in black bean paste and yellow radish on the side. Yum!

yum! looks delish! now I want some and will have to make a trek to Mirae Market. LOL
YUM-O!
that looks like the real thing! i want some.
you can also just buy the noodles and the sauce.
and throw in vegetables (only a few minutes).
cheaper that way.
yums.. i’ve seen those packs, but never bought them….
you can just make slight adjustments to jjaphaghetti…. to make it taste like the original.
extra tsp of peanut oil, chopped onions, etc…
look delish!
i cant stand jjapagheti
i love chapaghetti!
why is the sauce lighter than black?
looks good!
props =)
it looks good! we get the big box you have to boil the noodles…put water in the powder..and has a packet of dried pork and veggies..
that looks much better!
that looks so gooooood!!! YUM-O!!! i love those noodles. that’s actually one of my nicknames my Korean friend calls me. haha
<3Always,

what abt chacharoni? next time you’re in socal, there’s this place in fullerton called honey pig you should check out.
i like to put olive oil in my jjappaghetti… accentuates the “ghetti” (italian) portion of the meal.
i’m guessin this is better than chapagetti packs?
everytime i visit my mom, she gives me loads of frozen & instant foods too!
Never heard of it. But it looks delish!
mmmm i luv that shiet!!!
damn i’ll have to cheggit out
yum! Perfect for when I want some comfort food.

looks delish!
Wow, this is my favorite site from now on… I just spent like an hour looking at all your recepies… Gets me interested in cooking again…
the noodles look fresh, not a deep friend brick!
I like the pulmuone brand refridgerated pack best. No MSG
In korea, it seems to have bigger pieces of potato and pork than the one sold in America, but both are good
omg that looks so good. my mom recently made jja jang myun with thin noodles, and i was so miserable.
you know you can buy the sauce at Chinese markets and just add veggies and meat and also get the dry noodles there too.
Wow that looks like real jjappaghetti, do they sell it in NYC?
you made me crave jjahpaghetti yesterday ur site is soooo fun to look through!!
the garnish and cucumber always adds a visual touch
I have had this before, but it was a different brand – so good!!
looks really good
the only issue i have with food from packets is that most of it contais MSG in it.. which i’m nearly deathly allergic to. Looks delicious though!
Yum, looks good! I’ll have to hunt around and see if I can find it in stores…
delicious
Hey! I just had that recently… I say it is pretty close to the real thing… compare to other package products.
have you tried the new jajangmyun place on 32nd? it’s good!
your website is great! thanks!!
I get that in flushing at the huge Assi market here in New York! It’s in the freezer section
I love this stuff. I live in Michigan and have to drive to Chicago to get the real thing but if i get a craving I head to the local Korean market and throw a pot of water on to boil. Yumm.
Where can you buy that in LA?
